Wall Mounted, Non-Heated Towel Rails

Worth saying up front: these are fixed towel rails, not heated ones. There's no element, no plumbing and no electrical connection. They mount to the wall and hold a towel, which for most bathrooms is exactly what's wanted, and it means the rail goes where the towel is actually used rather than where the pipework allows.

Where a Towel Rail Goes

Beside the basin for a hand towel, or on the wall nearest the bath or shower for a bath sheet. The common mistake is fitting it too high: a bath towel folded over a rail at shoulder height will trail on the floor. Hold the towel you actually use against the wall before marking anything.

Finishes

The towel rails come in six finishes: brushed brass, brushed gold, brushed bronze, chrome, matt black and gunmetal grey. Match the rail to the tap. Brushed brass and gold suit a warm scheme, chrome is the safest match for most existing UK bathrooms, and matt black reads as a deliberate line against white tiling.
